Invention

This was suppose to be for the Invention project that was due way back when. Now, I used just acrylic paint on canvas and mixed three different colors (pink, grey, and cream) to make the different colors of the thought bubbles. I used Photoshop to color in the background black and give it some sort of faded look near the bubbles.  The different colors are supposed to represent the different thoughts and ideas that are floating through your mind that create inventions. The black background is suppose to be the mind itself. When the bubbles are overlapping, it's suppose to show how different ideas come together and recreate a new idea or invention.

Valentine's Series (Day 1)

Already, I seemed to mess up by making two of Valentine's upside down! That's truly frustrates me to no end, but I wonder if I can just go into Photoshop and just select them and flip them right side up? Or I can just redraw them.

Sandman (Technically Rough Draft)

Alright so I would like to thank Magan for letting me borrow her laptop to post this! I also used it to make it look faded and add the dark edges to it. I based this piece of of the Endless family which why their names are all around the clock. The hourglass in the middle of the clock is suppose to represent how time is endless, connecting it to the Endless family. I have another copy of this where parts of it are colored with pastels which I will have to upload too.

Nefarious (Final)

I could have added a little detail but it was truly impossible when I have people banging on the table and causing me to start over multiple times. So I gave up on this but here is what I have so far on it.

Theme: Nefarious

Kinda a rough draft of sorts for this week's IllustrationFriday theme (Nefarious), Basically, it's the physical copy because I have insane amounts of trouble when it comes to drawing in Illustrator, especially since I'm only using a mouse. I plan on running it through there though on Wednesday morning and adding possibly more vibrant colors and try to add more detail to it if I can.

Ideas for Cinnamon Project

Okay so I decided for this project I would try to combine my photoshop skills and my traditional art style. How I'm going to do this I'm not sure but I'm really excited to find out how this ends!

I've learned that the difference between Photoshop and Illustrator is that photoshop has more to do with putting other images in an image while Illustrator has to do with taking an image or a blank page and turning it into something new. Vector images have more to do with this project seeing how we used geometric shapes and points to make this happen and raster images have to do with the original image that I started with. I learned a little more about the pen tool and eyedropper in Illustrator. Actually, the pen tool reminds me a lot of the lasso tool in Photoshop. I think my favorite part about this was doing the neck and my checks and stuff because you can really tell the different shades and such on those parts of my face the best. I hated doing my eyes. I made one of them way too big and it just looks super awkward. I would definitely try to make smaller shapes for the eyes and not rush this so much like I did towards the end.
